Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that mediates cellular signaling in response to various growth factors. Overexpression of EGFR is associated with multiple cancers and serves as a therapeutic target for biological and small molecule inhibitors.
EGFR is encoded by the EGFR gene on human chromosome 7 and belongs to the HER/ERbB family, which includes ERbB2, ERbB3, and ERbB4.
Upon ligand binding (e.g., EGF, TGF-α), EGFR undergoes dimerization and autophosphorylation of tyrosine residues, activating downstream signaling pathways.
Overexpression has been observed in tumors of the head and neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, endometrium, cervix, vulva, ovary, esophagus, and squamous cell carcinoma.
