Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Cystatin C is observed.
- Less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Fetuin A, Fetuin B, Cystatin A, Cystatin B, Cystatin S, and Cystatin E/M.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Cystatin C는 type 2 cystatin superfamily에 속하는 단백질로, 내인성(lysosomal cathepsins) 및 병원성 cysteine proteinase의 강력한 억제제입니다.
13 kDa의 분비 단백질로, 대부분의 인체 핵을 가진 세포에서 발현되며 생체액 내에 높은 농도로 존재합니다.
Cystatin C의 변화는 죽상동맥경화, 아밀로이드 혈관병증, 심근경색 등 다양한 심혈관 질환에서 보고되었습니다.
또한 낮은 분자량 덕분에 신부전의 지표로 사용될 수 있습니다.
