Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
SETD6 (SET domain-containing protein 6) is a 473-amino-acid protein belonging to the SETD6 family. It contains one SET domain and is structurally similar to Rubisco large subunit methyltransferase. SETD6 functions as a protein-lysine N-methyltransferase that specifically monomethylates Lys-310 of the NFκB p65 subunit, leading to downregulation of NFκB transcriptional activity. This methylation attenuates NFκB-driven transcriptional programs, including inflammatory responses in primary immune cells. The SETD6-mediated lysine-methylation signaling cascade acts to restrain activation of NFκB-mediated inflammatory responses in diverse cell types.
