Target Information
The DYNLRB1 gene belongs to the roadblock dynein light chain family. The encoded cytoplasmic protein binds intermediate chain proteins, interacts with transforming growth factor-beta, and plays a role in regulating actin-modulating proteins. Upregulation has been linked to hepatocellular carcinoma, suggesting a role in tumor progression. Alternative splicing yields multiple transcript variants, and pseudogenes exist on chromosomes 12 and 18.
