This antibody detects endogenous levels of MCM2 only when phosphorylated at Ser53.


Target Information

MCM2 (Mini chromosome maintenance protein 2) is involved in regulating DNA replication. Also known as CDCL1, mitotin, and BM28, MCM2 is a human nuclear protein crucial for the cell cycle, especially in the onset of DNA replication and cell division. It is related to early S-phase proteins and mapped to chromosome 3q21. CDCL1 is a candidate oncogene affected by chromosomal breaks in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
