Target Information
Caspase 7는 cysteine protease 계열의 단백질로, apoptosis(세포사멸) 및 염증 반응에 관여하는 caspase 하위군으로 구분됩니다. Caspase 7은 executioner caspase로서 initiator caspase에 의해 활성화되어 세포 내 기질 단백질을 절단함으로써 세포사멸을 유도합니다. Caspase-7 mRNA의 alternative splicing은 세 가지 isoform을 생성하며, XIAP 발현에 의해 활성이 직접 억제될 수 있습니다. CASP7 관련 질환으로는 제1형 당뇨병(Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus 17) 및 Aleutian Mink Disease가 보고되어 있습니다.
