Target Information
CT47 (cancer/testis antigen family 47) is a 288 amino acid protein that is strongly expressed in testis and weakly expressed in placenta and brain.
The CT47 gene is located on human chromosome X, which contains about 153 million base pairs and nearly 1,000 genes.
Chromosomal variations involving X and Y chromosomes can lead to conditions such as:
- Klinefelter’s syndrome (XXY)
- Turner’s syndrome (XO)
- Triple X syndrome (XXX)
- X-linked disorders including color blindness, hemophilia, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
