GUCY2F (Guanylate cyclase 2F, retinal)은 GUC2F, RETGC2로도 알려져 있으며, adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 광수용체의 간상세포 및 원추세포에서 특정 기능적 역할을 할 수 있으며, 광수용 후 암상태로의 회복에 필요한 cGMP 재합성에 관여할 수 있습니다.
In situ hybridization 결과, GUCY2F mRNA는 광수용체 세포의 외핵층과 내분절에서만 발견됩니다. 합성 펩타이드 항혈청을 이용하면 RetGC-2(GUCY2F)는 RetGC-1보다 약간 작은 단백질로 구별됩니다.
