Target Information
LYVE1 is a major receptor for hyaluronan (HA) on lymph vessel walls.
It encodes a 322-residue type I integral membrane glycoprotein with a single Link module, similar to CD44 but specifically localized to lymphatic vessels.
LYVE1 serves as a lymph-specific HA receptor and is a marker for lymphatic endothelium.
It is involved in leukocyte and tumor cell trafficking to lymph nodes.
Associated molecules include LYVE1, PALE, VEGFR3, and podoplanin.
Diseases linked to LYVE1 dysfunction include Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.
