Atezolizumab is a fully humanized monoclonal antibody approved by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It binds to PD-L1 on various tumors, blocking its interaction with PD-1 and CD80 receptors (B7-1Rs), thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses.

GenScript MonoRab™ Anti-Atezolizumab Antibody (43H11), mAb, Rabbit is produced from a hybridoma formed by fusion of partner and B-lymphocytes obtained from a rabbit immunized with Atezolizumab.

Target Information

Atezolizumab is a fully humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting PD-L1. It blocks PD-L1 interactions with PD-1 and CD80 (B7-1Rs), which can inhibit immune cell activation. PD-L1 is often overexpressed on tumors, reducing cytotoxic T-cell activity. Inhibition of PD-L1 by atezolizumab removes this suppression, promoting anti-tumor immune responses. This mechanism is part of the broader strategy of immune checkpoint inhibition.
