Product Specific Information

This CB9 monoclonal antibody reacts with human Granzyme A, the most abundantly expressed granzyme serine protease. Granzyme A is released from NK cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes and induces caspase-independent cell death characterized by mitochondrial and DNA damage. It also plays roles in inflammation by cleaving pro-IL-1β.

Applications Reported:

• Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:

• Pre-titrated for intracellular staining using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00).
• Recommended 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
• Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Fluorophore Information:

• eFluor® 660 replaces Alexa Fluor® 647.
• Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 668 nm; Laser: Red.
• 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Cytolytic T lymphocytes (CTL) and natural killer (NK) cells recognize and lyse specific target cells presenting nonself antigens, such as those from intracellular pathogens. Granzyme A is a serine protease functioning as a key component in the lysis mechanism of CTL and NK cells.
