Target Information
Members of the TNF superfamily regulate immune responses and induce apoptosis. APRIL (A Proliferation-Inducing Ligand), also known as TALL2 or TRDL1a, is a novel TNF family member identified in human and mouse. APRIL interacts with receptors TACI and BCMA, stimulating B and T cell proliferation, activating NF-κB, and inducing cell death. APRIL and its relative BlyS, along with their receptors, are implicated in autoimmune diseases and cancer.
