Target Information
EIF2AK3 (PERK)는 eIF2-alpha의 Ser51을 인산화하는 4개의 키나아제 중 하나로, 다양한 환경적 스트레스에 반응하여 단백질 합성을 감소시킵니다. EIF2AK3의 신호는 ER 내 잘못 접힌 단백질에 의해 시작됩니다. EIF2AK3 결함은 Wolcott-Rallison syndrome(WRS)의 원인으로 알려져 있으며, 이는 영아기 인슐린 의존성 당뇨병, 골형성 장애, 성장 지연, 간 및 신장 기능 장애, 정신 지체, 심혈관 이상 등 다양한 증상을 동반하는 희귀 상염색체 열성 질환입니다.
