Antibody detects endogenous levels of total MUC6.
Target Information
Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins with approximately 80% carbohydrate content and 20% protein core. Gastric mucin is found in normal human gastrointestinal tract. Resurgence of gastric mucin reactivity during colonic carcinogenesis is due to re-expression of the peptide core of gastric (or fetal colonic) mucins.
