Target Information
Neuronal pentraxin (NPTX) 2는 pentraxin 계열 단백질로, NPTX1과 높은 상동성을 가지며 뇌뿐만 아니라 고환, 췌장, 간, 심장, 골격근에서도 발현됩니다. NPTX2는 pentraxin 계열의 렉틴 특성을 지니며, 신경돌기 성장 촉진 및 신경 활동에 의해 빠르게 조절됩니다. NPTX1과 NPTX2는 이형 복합체를 형성하여 흥분성 시냅스 형성에 기여합니다. 최근 연구에서는 NPTX2가 파킨슨병 환자의 흑질에서 과발현되어 루이소체 및 루이신경돌기에 존재함이 밝혀져, 파킨슨병의 병리적 경로 이상에 관련될 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
