Target Information
The Myb family of transcription factors, including A-, B-, and c-Myb genes, regulate differentiation, cellular growth, and gene expression. c-Myb is essential for hematopoietic cell proliferation and differentiation.
Myb-binding protein 1A (MYBBP1A) is a nuclear protein localized mainly in nucleoli and interacts with various transcription factors. It enhances AhR-dependent gene expression and acts as a negative regulator of PGC-1α via p38 MAPK. MYBBP1A also functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein utilizing CRM1-dependent and independent nuclear export pathways.
