- Recommended positive controls: HeLa, COL3A1 shRNA-transfected HeLa, SK-N-SH, SK-N-AS, Neuro2A, NIH-3T3, BCL-1, Raw264.7, C2C12, Mouse ESC, PC-12, Rat2, rat liver.
- Predicted reactivity: Mouse (92%), Rat (92%), Xenopus laevis (80%), Pig (94%), Chicken (83%), Rhesus Monkey (98%), Bovine (94%).
- Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial.
Target Information
Collagen III is a fibrillar collagen found in extensible connective tissues such as skin, lung, and the vascular system, often in association with type I Collagen.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type IV and aortic or arterial aneurysms.
Although alternate transcripts have been detected, they result from mutations that alter splicing, often leading to exclusion of multiple exons.
