Target Information
Phosphatidic acid phosphatase type 2 (PAP2)는 원래 세포막 효소로 확인되어, 세포 신호 전달 물질인 phosphatidic acid (PA)를 diacylglycerol (DG)로 탈인산화합니다. 이후 여러 PAP2 동형이 분리되었으며, 이 효소들은 PA 외에도 lysophosphatidic acid (LPA)와 sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) 등의 생리활성 지질을 탈인산화하는 것으로 알려졌습니다. 이러한 이유로 lipid phosphate phosphatases (LPPs)로 명명되었으며, 현재 LPP1, LPP1a, LPP2, LPP3의 네 가지 구성원이 알려져 있습니다.
