Target Information
KLF7는 Kruppel-like transcriptional regulator family에 속하는 단백질로, 세포 증식, 분화 및 생존을 조절합니다. 이 단백질은 C-말단에 위치한 세 개의 C2H2 zinc finger를 통해 GC-rich site에 결합합니다. KLF7은 췌장 베타세포에서 인슐린 발현과 분비를 억제하고, 지방세포에서 adipocytokine 분비를 조절함으로써 제2형 당뇨병의 진행에 기여할 수 있습니다. 또한, 염색체 3의 긴 팔에 위치한 pseudogene이 존재하며, 대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사 변이가 생성됩니다.
