Mouse anti-Bovine CD28, clone CC219, recognizes the bovine homologue of human CD28, a co-stimulatory cell surface molecule expressed by T cell subsets.
Reconstitute by adding 1 mL distilled water.
Target Information
CD28 antigen is a 44 kDa disulfide-linked homodimeric T cell-specific surface glycoprotein. It is a cell adhesion molecule of the immunoglobulin superfamily, constitutively expressed on most peripheral blood T lymphocytes.
CD28 provides a critical co-stimulatory signal by binding CD80 and CD86 on antigen-presenting cells, preventing T cells from entering an anergic or apoptotic state.
In murine lymphoid organs, CD28 is expressed on all CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, with varying expression levels during thymocyte development.
Dysfunction of CD28 is associated with diseases such as mycosis fungoides and Sezary’s disease.
