Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the STAT family of transcription factors. Upon cytokine or growth factor stimulation, STAT proteins are phosphorylated, dimerize, and translocate to the nucleus to act as transcription activators.
STAT5 mediates responses to IL-2, IL-3, IL-7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, and growth hormones.
Activation of STAT5 in myeloma and lymphoma associated with TEL/JAK2 fusion is independent of external stimuli and is essential for tumorigenesis.
In mice, STAT5 induces BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) expression, suggesting an anti-apoptotic role.
