Target Information
Mitochondrial ribosomes consist of a 28S small subunit and a 39S large subunit. These ribosomes contain approximately 75% protein and 25% rRNA, differing from prokaryotic ribosomes. MRP-S6 (Mitochondrial 28S ribosomal protein S6) belongs to the ribosomal protein S6P family and is a component of the mitochondrial ribosome small subunit (28S), which includes 12S rRNA and nearly 30 distinct proteins.
