Target Information
ATP citrate lyase는 다양한 조직에서 세포질 내 acetyl-CoA 합성의 주요 효소입니다. 이 효소는 4개의 동일한 소단위로 구성된 테트라머 형태(분자량 약 440,000)이며, citrate와 CoA로부터 acetyl-CoA 및 oxaloacetate를 생성하며 ATP를 ADP와 phosphate로 가수분해합니다. 생성된 acetyl-CoA는 지방 및 콜레스테롤 생합성 등 여러 생합성 경로에 사용됩니다. 신경 조직에서는 acetylcholine 생합성에도 관여할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자는 두 가지 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 transcript variant를 가집니다.
