Specificity: This antibody is specific for murine TWEAK. It does not react with TNF-alpha, FasL, or TRAIL.
Target Information
TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) is a member of the TNF superfamily (TNFSF). It is a type II transmembrane protein, though a smaller active soluble form can be generated by cleavage near the membrane. TWEAK is involved in cell growth, angiogenesis, induction of inflammatory cytokines, and apoptosis. It signals via TweakR/Fn14, similar to other TNFSF members that bind receptors lacking death domains.
