Description:
The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells and also found in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs), and thymic epithelial cells.

CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; thus, this format should not be used on CD205⁺ dendritic cells.

Applications Tested:

• Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometric analysis of in vitro-cultured BMDCs or mouse granulocytes
• Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.007 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Light Sensitivity:

• Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:

• Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
• Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.

Excitation / Emission:

• Excitation: 488–561 nm
• Emission: 775 nm

Target Information

CD205 (LY75, Lymphocyte Antigen 75)
An integral membrane glycoprotein that mediates antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation to enhance T cell immunity. Highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells and variably expressed in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells. Functions as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens to processing regions and can modulate B lymphocyte proliferation.
