For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD63 (LAMP-3, lysosome-associated membrane protein-3) is a glycoprotein of the tetraspanin family found in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles. It is also present on the plasma membrane following cell activation and is widely used as a basophil activation marker.
CD63 interacts with integrins, influencing phagocytosis and cell migration, and plays roles in H/K-ATPase trafficking and ROMK1 channel regulation. It also functions as a T-cell costimulation molecule.
Expression of CD63 can serve as a prognostic marker in early-stage carcinomas. It is expressed on activated platelets, monocytes, macrophages, and weakly on granulocytes, B, and T cells. CD63 is identical to the melanoma-associated antigen ME491 and platelet antigen PTLGP40.
Diseases associated with CD63 dysfunction include melanoma and Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.
