For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD63 (LAMP-3, lysosome-associated membrane protein-3) is a glycoprotein of the tetraspanin family found in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles. It is also present on the plasma membrane following cell activation and serves as a basophil activation marker.
In mast cells, CD63 exposure does not require activation. CD63 interacts with integrins, influences phagocytosis and cell migration, and is involved in H/K-ATPase trafficking and ROMK1 channel regulation.
It also functions as a T-cell costimulatory molecule, and its expression can indicate carcinoma prognosis. CD63 is expressed on activated platelets, monocytes, macrophages, and weakly on granulocytes, B, and T cells.
It is identical to melanoma-associated antigen ME491 and platelet antigen PTLGP40.
Diseases associated with CD63 dysfunction include melanoma and Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.
