Target Information
The PCDH7 gene belongs to the protocadherin family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily.
It encodes an integral membrane protein with seven cadherin repeats in its extracellular domain, involved in cell–cell recognition and adhesion.
Alternative splicing yields isoforms with distinct cytoplasmic tails.
