Target Information
TSEN2는 tRNA-splicing endonuclease complex의 두 개의 촉매 서브유닛 중 하나로, pre-tRNA의 splice site를 인식하고 절단하는 역할을 합니다. 이 복합체는 pre-tRNA의 5' 및 3' splice site를 절단하여 intron을 방출하고, 2',3'-cyclic phosphate 및 5'-OH 말단을 가진 두 개의 tRNA 절반 분자를 생성합니다. splice site에는 보존된 서열이 없지만 intron은 항상 동일한 위치에 존재합니다. Isoform 1은 5'-splice site 절단의 활성 부위를 가지며, mRNA 3'-end processing 인자와의 연관을 통해 pre-tRNA splicing과 pre-mRNA 3'-end 형성 간의 연계를 제공합니다. Isoform 2는 아직 알려지지 않은 RNA 기질을 처리하며, pre-tRNA를 제대로 절단하지 못하지만 endonucleolytic activity를 유지합니다.
