Target Information
MUSK plays an important and selective role in skeletal muscle development and function through postsynaptic differentiation and formation of end-plate bands in cooperation with Rapsyn. It is part of the agrin signaling complex and is essential for neuromuscular junction development and maintenance. Receptor tyrosine kinase activity is regulated by ligand binding to the extracellular domain, mediating communication between cells.
