Target Information
Annexin A9 (ANXA9) is a member of the annexin family, a group of calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding proteins. Annexins contain four internal repeat domains, each with a type II calcium-binding site necessary for aggregation and phospholipid binding. Annexin A9 is a divergent member where all four calcium-binding sites are nonfunctional due to amino acid substitutions, though the conserved ion channel structure remains intact.
