Since it is highly conserved across species, the antibody may react with many other species.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for the nucleosome structure of chromosomal fibers in eukaryotes. Two molecules each of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units called nucleosomes.
The linker histone H1 interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and aids in chromatin compaction into higher-order structures. The H4 gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H4 family. Transcripts lack polyA tails but contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is located in the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6.
