Target Information
The TRPM3 gene encodes a member of the transient receptor potential (TRP) channel family. These cation-selective channels are crucial for cellular calcium signaling and homeostasis. TRPM3 mediates calcium entry, which is enhanced by calcium store depletion. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
