Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Annexin IV only when phosphorylated at Tyr255.
Target Information
Annexin IV (ANX4) belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins. Several members of this family are involved in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. ANX4 shares 45–59% identity with other annexins and has similar exon-intron organization. Isolated from human placenta, ANX4 encodes a protein that may interact with ATP, exhibits in vitro anticoagulant activity, and inhibits phospholipase A2 activity. ANX4 is predominantly expressed in epithelial cells.
