For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

BCL-2 is a key regulator of apoptosis that can inhibit or promote cell death. Members of the BCL-2 family dimerize to modulate apoptosis further.
Bag1 forms heterodimers with BCL-2, enhancing its anti-apoptotic effect. Bax and Bak promote cytochrome c release from mitochondria, initiating apoptosis.
Constitutive BCL2 expression, such as translocation to the Ig heavy chain locus, is associated with follicular lymphoma.
In most follicular lymphomas, neoplastic germinal centers express high levels of BCL-2 alpha protein, while normal germinal centers are negative.
Two transcript variants of BCL-2 differ at their C-terminal ends. Overexpression of BCL-2 is linked to cancers such as B-cell lymphoma and prostate cancer.
