Target Information
The Wilms Tumor 1 (WT1) gene encodes one of the WPP domain-interacting proteins required for RanGAP nuclear envelope association in root tip cells. Ran GTPase plays essential roles in nucleocytoplasmic transport, spindle formation, and postmitotic nuclear envelope reassembly. WT1 and WIT2 are members of a CC-TMD protein family distinct from the WIP family, essential for RanGAP nuclear envelope association in root tip cells.
