Target Information
In infectious mononucleosis, anti-EBNA-1 antibodies are produced that cross-react with multiple normal human proteins. This cross-reactivity arises from anti-gly/ala antibodies recognizing similar configurations in EBNA-1 repeats. One such antigen is RALY, a member of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein gene family.
