Target Information
Ki-67는 세포 주기의 다양한 단계(G1, S, G2, M)에서 발현되는 핵 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 FHA(forkhead associated) 도메인을 통해 유크로마틴, 중심 이질염색질, 핵소체와 결합합니다.
Ki-67는 세포 주기 의존적 위치 분포를 가지며, G1기에는 핵주변 영역(perinucleolar)에, G2기에는 핵기질(nuclear matrix)에, M기에는 염색체에 존재합니다.
Ki-67는 G0 세포에서는 검출되지 않으며, G1에서 유사분열까지 발현이 점진적으로 증가하기 때문에 세포 증식 마커로 널리 사용됩니다.
종양 조직에서 Ki-67 지수는 예후와 밀접한 상관관계를 가지며, 저등급 종양일수록 낮은 Ki-67 지수를 보입니다. 또한 신경세포의 세포 주기 및 증식 연구에서도 활용됩니다.
