Target Information
TGIF는 TALE(three-amino acid loop extension) 슈퍼클래스에 속하는 비정형 홈도메인 단백질로, 고도로 보존된 전사 조절 인자입니다. 이 단백질은 retinoid X receptor 반응 요소에 결합하며, 9-cis-retinoic acid 의존적 RXRα 전사 활성 억제에 관여합니다. 또한 SMAD2의 전사 공동억제인자로 작용하며, 발생 및 성체에서 핵 신호 전달에 관여할 수 있습니다. TGIF 유전자의 돌연변이는 뇌 구조 이상 질환인 holoprosencephaly type 4와 관련이 있습니다.
