Product Specific Information

  • For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Neurofilaments are intermediate filament proteins found specifically in neurons and are composed predominantly of three major proteins: NF-L, NF-M, and NF-H.
NF-L (Neurofilament Light) is the light or low molecular weight subunit (~70 kDa) and plays a crucial role in maintaining neuronal caliber.
NF-M and NF-H represent the medium and heavy subunits, respectively, with NF-H typically migrating at 180–220 kDa depending on the species.
Expression of these proteins is tissue-specific and developmentally regulated.
