Product Specific Information

• Epitope recognized by 2A11 is sensitive to H₂O₂; quenching with 0.3% H₂O₂ should be performed after incubation with the primary antibody.
• Epitope is also sensitive to formaldehyde fixation; acetone fixation is recommended for frozen sections.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
• Low-endotoxin, preservative-free formulation (Endotoxin level <0.01 EU/µg).
• Rat anti-Mouse Dectin-1 antibody, clone 2A11, recognizes murine beta-glucan receptor (Dectin-1).

Target Information

CLEC7A (Dectin-1) is a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily, predominantly expressed on myeloid cells. It is a small glycoprotein type II membrane receptor with:

• An extracellular C-type lectin-like domain
• A cytoplasmic domain containing an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM)

CLEC7A acts as a pattern-recognition receptor recognizing beta-1,3- and beta-1,6-linked glucans from fungi and plants, playing a key role in innate immune response. Upon fungal exposure, it activates Syk tyrosine kinase, triggering oxidative burst via reactive oxygen species formation.
