This peptide corresponds to 17 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human TWA1.
PEP-0913 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20799.
Target Information
TWA1 was identified through a two-hybrid associated protein screen with RanBPM.
TWA1 is well conserved through evolution and localized within the nucleus. It interacts with RanBP9 and forms a protein complex with RanBPM and Muskelin.
TWA1 contains the LisH-CTLH motif, which is found in proteins involved in microtubule dynamics, cell migration, nucleokinesis, and chromosome segregation. These functions overlap with those associated with the RanGTPase cycle.
Recent findings suggest that there may be an additional, yet undiscovered function of the RanGTPase cycle.
