Target Information

Lymphotactin (XCL1) is a member of the C-chemokine family that acts as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes, but not monocytes or neutrophils. It plays an important role in lymphocyte trafficking and inflammation.
Lymphotactin signals through chemokine XC receptor 1 (XCR1) and is detected at the highest level in the spleen, with lower levels in the lungs, small intestine, and colon. It is abundantly expressed by activated CD8+ T cells and also produced by NK cells.
