Target Information
FLT3 is a tyrosine protein kinase that belongs to the growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase family. Activation occurs upon ligand binding, leading to receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation. This triggers downstream signaling pathways controlling apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. Constitutive activation mutations are associated with acute myeloid and lymphoblastic leukemia.
