This antibody detects endogenous levels of hnRNP D only when phosphorylated at Ser83.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs), which are nucleic acid-binding proteins that complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and influence pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism, and transport. While most hnRNPs are nuclear, some shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm. The encoded protein contains two quasi-RRM domains that bind RNA and localizes to both nucleus and cytoplasm. It plays a role in mRNA stability regulation, and alternative splicing produces four transcript variants.
