For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Thymidylate Synthase (TS) catalyzes the conversion of deoxyuridine monophosphate (dUMP) to deoxythymidine monophosphate (dTMP), a key step in DNA biosynthesis.
TS is a critical target for fluoropyrimidines, an important class of antineoplastic drugs used in the treatment of solid tumors.
5-FU and fluorodeoxyuridine are metabolized in tumor cells to FdUMP, which inactivates TS by forming a ternary covalent complex with the folate cofactor 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate.
Expression of TS protein correlates with response to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in human colorectal, gastric, head and neck, and breast carcinomas.
