Product Specific Information

The 61D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, interfollicular macrophages, and some dendritic cells. Complexes of LPS and LBP bind with high affinity to monocytes through CD14.

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a receptor for lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in complex with LBP. CD14 exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms, playing roles in immune recognition, inflammatory response, and apoptotic cell binding. Dysregulation of CD14 is associated with conditions such as Mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
