Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 2 (SIPA1L3)는 RapGAPs 계열의 SIPA1 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 타이트 및 부착 결합의 새로운 분자 구성 요소로 밝혀졌습니다. 이는 RapGEFs를 상쇄하여 Rap1의 균형을 조절하는 기능을 할 수 있습니다. SIPA의 조절 이상은 마우스에서 조혈 줄기세포 장애를 유발하고, 인간 암에서 전이를 증가시킬 수 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다. 또한 SIPA1L1은 배아 발달 및 세포 증식 조절에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있으며, SIPA1L3 역시 이와 유사한 생물학적 역할을 수행할 가능성이 있습니다.
