Target Information
IDO1는 heme을 포함하는 세포 내 효소로, 트립토판, 세로토닌, 멜라토닌 등의 인돌 고리를 산화적으로 절단하여 생리활성 대사물인 키뉴레닌(kynurenine)을 생성합니다.
IDO1은 다양한 인간 조직뿐 아니라 대식세포와 수지상세포(DCs)에서도 널리 발현됩니다. 염증 반응 시 인터페론(IFN)이 특정 수용체를 통해 IDO1 유도를 촉진하며, 이는 항균 메커니즘으로 작용합니다.
트립토판의 분해 및 고갈은 바이러스, 박테리아, 기생충의 성장을 억제하며, IDO1은 감염, 임신, 자가면역, 이식, 종양 등 다양한 면역조절 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
