Target Information
IDO1 (Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1)는 헴(heme)을 포함한 세포 내 효소로, 트립토판, 세로토닌, 멜라토닌 등의 인돌 고리를 산화적으로 절단하여 생리활성 대사산물인 키뉴레닌(kynurenines)을 생성합니다.
IDO1은 다양한 인체 조직뿐 아니라 대식세포와 수지상세포(DCs)에서도 널리 발현됩니다. 염증 반응 시 인터페론(IFN)은 IDO1 발현을 유도하며, 이는 항균 기전의 중요한 부분을 차지합니다.
트립토판의 분해 및 고갈은 바이러스, 세균, 기생충의 성장을 억제하며, IDO1은 감염, 임신, 자가면역, 이식, 종양 등 다양한 생리적·병리적 상황에서 면역 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
